Shake, Rattle'n Roll

I'm still getting up to speed on the events today (2:40pm Tokyo Time) when an earthquake of almost 9.0 hit Japan.

Still assessing the damage, initial reports have 50 people dead and scores missing. All expect that the casualty count will rise.

Some disasters are man-made, including political upheaval and revolution. Economic disasters are something we're learning more about as the rich get richer. Environmental disasters are something we've lived with for decades as man makes his mark on the planet. But, it's things like this that scare the shit out of me. Something out of the blue, totally un-predicable, no warnings, nothing but a sudden BOOM leaving you with this.
